Troubleshooting

Overheating

What happens: Chip temperature is consistently high, the miner reduces performance or stops.

Before configuring software parameters, check the physical condition of the equipment.

  1. Check the fans. Make sure all fans are working and their RPMs are normal in the Overview section. If a faulty fan is detected, see Fan Malfunctions.
  2. Check airflow. Make sure the miner's intake and exhaust vents are not blocked.
  3. Check the Heatmap. Open the Mining → Performance → Heatmap section. Chips that are noticeably hotter than their neighbors may require thermal paste reapplication.
  4. Check room temperature. High ambient temperature directly affects chip temperature.

If physical causes have been eliminated but the temperature remains high, configure software protection:

  1. Enable the Auto-profile switching function and set the Lower profile on high temperature threshold in the Mining → Performance section (see Mining → Performance). This is the most effective method. The system will automatically reduce the load.
  2. Check the Critical chip temperature setting in the Mining → Advanced section (see Mining → Advanced).
  3. Enable Adapt voltage by temperature and Automatic chip power regulation in the Mining → Advanced section (see Mining → Advanced).
