Troubleshooting
Fan Malfunctions
What's happening: One or more fans show an Error status, are not spinning, or the miner stops due to a cooling error (Fan Error).
What to check and do:
- Physical connection: Check the tightness of the fan connectors on the control board and the integrity of the wires.
- Mechanical obstructions: Ensure that no foreign objects are caught in the blades and that the bearings are not jammed.
- Restart the device: After restoring the connection, perform a restart from the control panel.
- Fan replacement: If the fan's electronics fail, replace it with a compatible fan with the appropriate current (usually 2.7A to 7.2A depending on the Antminer model).
Operation in Immersion Tanks (Immersion)
If the miner is submerged in immersion fluid, the stock fans are removed:
- Built-in software mode: Go to Mining → Cooling and select the "Immersion" mode. The Firmware will completely disable fan polling and will not require connecting physical dummy boards (fan emulators).
Hall Sensor (Tachometer) Failure
- If the fan is physically working, spinning at full RPMs and providing airflow, but the tachometer wire is damaged (the Firmware sees 0 RPM and stops mining):
- Go to Mining → Cooling.
- Decrease the "Minimum number of working fans" parameter (e.g., from 4 to 3).
- This will allow the miner to continue stable mining without farm downtime while waiting for a new fan.
