Organization Settings
Organization settings configure its name and description — defining how the organization appears to members in the UI, invitation emails, and the invitation acceptance screen. A recognizable name is especially helpful when members belong to multiple organizations.
Opening the Section v1.0.0-alpha4
Organization → Organization settings in the sidebar menu. This section exists only in a Business account and is accessible exclusively to the Owner: other members do not see this menu item, and direct URL navigation is denied.
Settings
| Field | Required | Constraints | Where Used |
|---|---|---|---|
| Name | Yes | 3–42 characters | Site switcher, invitation emails, invitation acceptance screen |
| Description | No | Up to 100 characters | Invitation acceptance screen |
Character counters (e.g., 15/42) are displayed below the inputs, along with minimum length helper text.
How to Edit Name or Description
- Open Organization settings.
- Update Name or Description.
- Click Save.
The Save button is disabled until changes are made or if the name is fewer than 3 characters long. Updates are visible to all members immediately upon saving.
Where the Name Appears
- Site switcher — in the expanded dropdown, the organization name acts as a section header above its sites. For users in multiple organizations, sites are grouped by these headers.
- Invitation email — "You've been invited to join Organization Name on HashCore Pulse".
- Invitation acceptance screen — an organization card displaying icon, name, and description. If the description is blank, that line is omitted.
Typical Scenarios
- Account upgraded to Business automatically — the name was auto-generated from email (e.g., "Petrov Org"). Replace it with the official company name before inviting team members.
- Just upgraded to Business — Pulse prompts you to configure name and description; complete this before sending your first invitation.
- Colocation / Mining hotel inviting clients — include details in the description regarding which site or facility this pertains to, so clients recognize the context of the invitation.
Notes
- Name uniqueness is not enforced across the platform: two organizations could have the same name. To avoid confusion for your members, use your distinct company name.
- In a Personal account, the organization layer is hidden, and this section is inaccessible.
Working in Multiple Organizations
A single Pulse account can belong to multiple organizations at once — for example, a service engineer might manage farms across different clients, while a hosting client also maintains their own Personal farm. There is no separate organization switcher: everything is accessible directly from the standard site switcher. `v1.0.0-alpha4`
