FAQ
Answers to the most frequently asked questions about HashCore Pulse.
General questions
HashCore Pulse is a cloud platform for monitoring and managing industrial mining equipment. It allows you to centrally track metrics, manage devices, and perform operations on mining farms of any size — from dozens to hundreds of thousands of ASIC miners.
No. You only need to install one agent on any computer or server in the same network as the miners. The agent will automatically discover all devices in the specified IP ranges.
Supported devices include Bitmain (Antminer), MicroBT (Whatsminer), Canaan (Avalon), Innosilicon, and devices running HashCore firmware (formerly Vnish). The complete current list is in the Supported devices section.
Yes. The agent establishes an outgoing connection to the HashCore cloud via port 443 (HTTPS). A public IP and open incoming ports are not required.
Agent
Usually one is enough. Additional agents are needed if devices are in different isolated subnets — then one agent per subnet.
Technically yes, but it's not recommended. Better to use one agent with multiple scanning tasks for different ranges.
The agent continues to work locally and accumulates data. After the connection is restored, data is synchronized with the cloud. Devices go offline after 5 minutes without receiving metrics.
The agent updates automatically — it checks for a new version on startup and every 4 hours. If auto-update doesn't work, download the latest version manually from the Pulse interface when creating an agent or via Show Credentials.
Yes, if the device runs Linux (Ubuntu 20.04+, Debian 10+) and has x64 architecture. ARM architecture is not officially supported.
Devices
Pulse marks a device as Offline if metrics are not received for more than 5 minutes. Check: device network accessibility from the agent server, the agent's status, and the presence of Unlock Configs for devices with non-standard passwords.
-- means data is unavailable — the agent sees the device on the network but cannot authenticate and get metrics. Usually the cause is missing or incorrect credentials in the Unlock Configs of the scanning task.No. Devices are discovered automatically by the agent during scanning. Make sure the device's IP address is in the scanning range of the Scan Task.
Pulse is designed to work with farms of up to 1 million devices. For very large farms, it's recommended to distribute devices across multiple agents.
If a device was deleted from Workers and the agent discovers it again during scanning — it will be added again as a new device. The history of the previous record is not restored.
Operations
Restart — software restart of miner software without power shutdown. Takes 30–60 seconds. Reboot — full hardware reboot with power shutdown. Takes 1–3 minutes. Use Restart for software issues, Reboot when Restart doesn't help.
If operation packets (Operation Throttling) are enabled in site settings, commands are sent in groups with pauses between them. This prevents peak power load on the electrical grid. Increase Devices per packet or decrease Pause duration in site settings.
Operations with Pending status (not yet started) can be deleted from Activity Center. Operations with In Progress status cannot be cancelled — they run to completion.
Some operations are only available for devices running HashCore Firmware (board management, diagnostic report, preset changes). Devices on other firmware are skipped and appear in the Activity Center Failed tab with reason "Not supported".
Dashboard and metrics
Income calculation in Pulse is approximate — it's based on hashrate and consumption data reported by devices and current cryptocurrency prices. Actual earnings depend on pool fees, metric accuracy, and price fluctuations.
Check the auto-refresh setting — it may be disabled. Click the site button in the header to refresh data manually. Also make sure your browser tab is active — auto-refresh only works on the active tab.
AVG (Average) — average hashrate for the selected time period. Shows stable farm performance. RT (Real-Time) — current real-time hashrate. May differ from AVG due to temporary fluctuations.
Security and account
On the login page, click Forgot password → enter your email → receive a confirmation code → set a new password. After successful change, you'll be automatically logged in.
Go to Settings → Team → click Invite → enter their email and select a role. For observers without management rights, choose the Viewer role. Learn more about roles in the Roles and permissions section.
Yes. You can log into Pulse from any number of devices and browsers. All active sessions can be viewed and managed in Settings → Security → Active Sessions.
