Device diagnostics
If a device is not working properly, use this guide to diagnose and troubleshoot the issue.
Error status
Symptom: Device shows Error status.
Check:
- Event Log — open the device card and review recent events
- Boards — check the status of each board (may be red/orange)
- Chip temperature — overheating can cause errors
- Try Restart — restart the miner software
- If Restart doesn't help — perform Reboot (full hardware reboot)
No metrics (--)
Symptom: Device is Online but shows -- instead of metric values.
Check:
- Are Unlock Configs added for this device
- What firmware is installed on the device
- Is the current firmware version supported
- The device may be visible on the network, but the agent cannot authenticate
Intermittent Offline
Symptom: Device periodically goes Offline.
Check:
- Network connection stability
- Is there an IP conflict with another device
- Is the device overheating (check temperature)
- Are there power supply issues
- Check Uptime — if the device regularly reboots, it may be a hardware issue
Low hashrate
Symptom: Device hashrate is lower than expected.
Check:
- Boards — check status and hashrate of each board
- Chip temperature — overheating causes throttling
- Current Preset — which overclocking preset is active
- Pools — check pool configuration for errors
Fan issues
Symptom: Fans are not working correctly or show abnormal values.
Check:
- Sort device list by Fan Duty to find anomalies
- Is Immersion mode (immersion cooling) enabled — fans are not needed in this mode
- Check Cooling mode — Auto or Manual
- Physical issue — check fan connections
Device diagnostic report
If the issue persists, create a diagnostic report (only for devices running HashCore Firmware):
- Go to Workers section
- Click ⋯ next to the device
- Select Maintenance → Diagnostic report
- Confirm creation
- Report appears in Activity Center
- Download the file and send to support
Report is available for download for 2 hours after creation
