Two-Factor Authentication
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your HashCore Pulse account. v0.2.0 Even if an attacker learns your password, they won't be able to log in without the second factor.
How 2FA Works
When logging in, after entering your password, Pulse requests a one-time code from the authenticator app on your phone. The code is valid for 30 seconds and is generated according to the TOTP standard.
Supported Applications
- Authy (recommended)
- Google Authenticator
- Microsoft Authenticator
- Any application supporting TOTP (RFC 6238)
Enabling 2FA
- Go to Settings → Security → Two-Factor Authentication
- Click Enable 2FA
- Open the authenticator app on your phone
- Scan the QR code or enter the key manually
- Enter the six-digit code from the app to confirm
- Click Confirm
2FA will be activated. The next time you log in, the system will request a code from the app.
After enabling 2FA, save your backup codes in a secure place — you will need them if you lose access to your authenticator app.
Disabling 2FA
- Go to Settings → Security → Two-Factor Authentication
- Click Disable 2FA
- Enter the current code from the app to confirm
- Confirm disabling
We recommend not disabling 2FA unnecessarily — especially for accounts with an Owner or Administrator role.
Losing Access to Authenticator
If you lose your phone or delete the app — use the backup codes that were provided when you enabled 2FA. Each backup code can only be used once.
If the backup codes are also lost — contact HashCore support to restore access.
Profile Management
The profile management section allows you to change the main data of your HashCore Pulse account.
Active Sessions
Managing active sessions allows you to control all devices and browsers from which your HashCore Pulse account is logged in. `v0.6.0` This is an important security tool — especially if you suspect unauthorized access or simply want to end old sessions.
