Firmware Purpose

Core objectives and design philosophy behind HashCore firmware - performance improvement, power optimization, and stability.

Performance Improvement

One of the primary goals of Vnish is to increase computational power (hashrate) by:

  • Increasing ASIC chip clock frequencies
  • Selecting optimal operating voltage

It is important to understand: +50% is a marketing maximum achievable only in specific edge cases; real performance gains depend on the miner model, chip quality, power supply, and cooling system. In practice, users most often target a stable 15–20% performance increase while staying within safe temperature limits and acceptable power consumption.

Energy Efficiency Improvement

The second goal is to reduce energy consumption per unit of hashrate (J/TH), which is especially critical in regions with high electricity costs. This is achieved through:

  • Low-power mining profiles
  • Intelligent per-chip profile autotuning
