Adding Devices
How Devices Appear in Pulse
Once the agent is running and a scan task is configured, the agent periodically checks all IP addresses in the specified ranges. When an ASIC device is discovered, it automatically appears in the Workers section and starts transmitting metrics.
Average time from agent launch to first devices appearing: 2–5 minutes.
Configuring IP Scan Ranges
For the agent to find your devices, you need to properly set the scan ranges in the Scan Task.
- Go to Agents → select the desired agent
- Open the Scan Tasks tab → select a task or create a new one
- In the Network ranges section, click + Add range
- Specify the start and end IP addresses of the range
- Click Save
Tips for configuring ranges:
- If devices are spread across multiple subnets — add a separate range for each
- For a large number of ranges, use Import — upload a list from a TXT, CSV, or JSON file
- If the address list is large and scattered — use the Aggregate IP button to automatically merge them into compact ranges
Unlocking Devices
Some devices are protected with non-standard passwords and require authentication before the agent can retrieve metrics from them. If devices are discovered but not transmitting data — configure Unlock Configs.
- Open the desired Scan Task
- Go to the Unlock Configs tab
- Add credentials for each firmware type: HashCore Firmware (login/password), Bitmain (login/password)
- Click Save
Supported Devices
Pulse automatically detects the firmware type and manufacturer. Supported: devices running HashCore Firmware, original Bitmain firmware, original MicroBT firmware, original Canaan firmware, original Innosilicon firmware.
Devices with unknown firmware or manufacturers are logged but not added to the Workers list.
Device Not Appearing in the List
If a device hasn't appeared in Workers within 10 minutes — check the following:
- IP range — make sure the device's address falls within the specified scan range
- Network — the agent and the device must be on the same local network
- Agent status — the agent must be Online (green indicator in the agent list)
- Unlock Configs — if the device is password-protected, add credentials in the Scan Task settings
- Scan task — make sure the Scan Task is enabled (Enabled status)
Connecting Your First Site
A Site is the primary organizational unit in HashCore Pulse. All agents, devices, and metrics are bound to a specific site. Before connecting an agent and devices, you must create a site.
First Monitoring
Once the agent is running and devices are discovered, HashCore Pulse begins collecting and displaying data in real time. This section explains what you'll see and what to look for first.
