Troubleshooting

  • Temperature Sensor Initialization Error Possible causes of the malfunction:
    1. Power surges in the power supply network
    2. Poorly connected hashboard cables
    3. Dirty hashboard connectors/contacts
    4. Faulty power supply unit; try replacing it with a known working one
    5. Turn off the miner for 10-15 minutes and turn it back on

If the error persists, the cause may be faulty sensors on the hashboard, requiring replacement of the temperature sensor chips. The firmware provides the ability to operate with faulty sensors. This function allows ignoring faulty temperature sensors if it does not threaten the device's safety.
  • Power Consumption Display in Firmware: Power consumption from the power supply unit is supported by: S19 Hydro all models, all x21 series, and L9
Calculated power consumption from presets: all x19 series and L7
Note: For accurate results, power consumption should be measured with a SMART PLUG.
  • Firmware Installation. All AML/BB/XIL control boards - the firmware is installed permanently. CV control board - the firmware is installed, but after power loss or a full reboot, the stock firmware starts. To restore our firmware, you need to use Phoenix or Hashcore Toolkit (CV Recovery option).
  • Mining - Pools Tab: By default, pools migrate from the stock firmware. If you need to change them, you can do so in this tab.
  • Mining - Cooling Tab: Modes: Auto, Manual (you choose a fixed fan speed), and Immersion.
We recommend a Target Temperature of 65 C for all models.
The Minimum number of working fans should be set if your fan's Hall sensor is broken and shows an incorrect speed. This will allow the miner to ignore it and continue working.
Minimum/Maximum fan speed - a limit for auto mode. Below/above these values, the fans will not spin, unless a temperature close to overheating is reached, in which case the fans may switch to 100% mode.
  • Mining - Performance Tab: Preset: Choose a preset with the desired TH/s for the miner's operation. Autotuning lasts from 3 to 5 hours. During autotuning, it is desirable to avoid cold temperatures and sudden temperature changes for good results. If no preset is selected, you can manually choose the frequency and voltage for the miner's operation.
    Preset Switcher:
    • Preset Increase Temperature (20-85 C): | the temperature at which the preset will be increased if it is below the specified value.
    • Preset Decrease Temperature (25-90 C): | the temperature at which the preset will be decreased if it is above or equal to the specified value.
    • Parameter Measurement Time (1-10 minutes): the time during which temperature and fan speed measurements will occur.
      • Do not increase above: | the preset above which the miner will not increase overclocking
      • Do not decrease below: | the preset below which the miner will not decrease overclocking
      • Allowable Power Consumption Exceedance (%/W): | if the PRESET's power consumption is higher than + the specified (%/W), the preset will be reduced.
      • Override Top Preset: | in case of problems during preset change, if this option is enabled, the top preset will be automatically lowered to the last working one.
    • Some models have a Chip Temperature Map (by clicking on Board1-4 Heatmap), where you can see the temperature of each chip individually.
  • Mining - Advanced Settings Tab: Leave all settings at default; only disable Temperature Adaptation if you always have stable temperature conditions.
  • System - Settings Tab For stable operation of all firmware components, we also recommend ensuring that you have GOOGLE DNS set up in your router and that your miners receive them:
    GOOGLE DNS1: 8.8.8.8 GOOGLE DNS2: 8.8.4.4
  • Hydro miners will not start if: The difference between the maximum and minimum chip temperatures is greater than 10.
The maximum chip temperature is greater than 60 degrees.
If the temperature is below 20 degrees.
To install our firmware, you can use Hashcore Toolkit. You can download it from our channel - https://hashcore.com/ru/toolkit
After launching, you need to add the range of your miners on the network. You can do this by exporting CSV or manually specifying the ranges.
Then open the created group and wait for the scanning to finish. Next, select all miners for installation. After selecting the miners in the panel below, click All Operations - Firmware Installation - select the folder with the installation files - click on the field, and it will suggest the version and name available in the selected folder, then click Install Firmware.
  • To explain the problem and the reasons for miner operation errors, we need a Diagnostic Report from the miner and a screenshot of the entire interface, including the boards. How to create a Miner Diagnostic Report: bottom left button Tech. Support - Diagnostic Report - in this window, describe the problem and click Create Report. After the archive is downloaded, send it to us in the chat for review.
