Web Interface Overview

Control Menu

The VNISH web interface consists of four elements present on every page: the left panel, top panel, status bar, and log panel.

Left Panel

Left Panel Located on the left side of the web interface, it provides quick access to all main miner management sections:

  • Overview: The main screen for real-time monitoring of the miner's status (see section 4.2).
  • Mining: Settings for the mining process: Pools, cooling, performance, and advanced parameters (see section 4.3).
  • System: Device system parameters: Network, device name, date and time, API, reboot, and reset settings (see section 4.4).
  • Support: Opens the service section for diagnostics and transmitting information to specialists. Includes a diagnostic report, access to API documentation, Telegram channel, and the official website (see section 4.5).
  • Update Center: The section for updating the device Firmware (see section 4.6).

Top Panel

Top Panel Located in the upper right part of the web interface, it displays the main quick control elements.

Quick Actions menuQuick Actions settings Opens the web interface settings panel:

  • Interface Language: Selects the display language (e.g., Русский / English). Changes are applied instantly.
  • Interface Theme:
    • Dark;
    • Light;
    • OS Sync: Automatic synchronization with the operating system theme.
  • Interface Optimization:
    • Enabled: Simplified graphics and animations, recommended for slow connections or weak controllers;
    • Disabled: Full-featured web interface.
  • Find Miner: Initiates an automatic search for the miner on the local network and activates the LED on the device to blink. Useful for locating a device in a rack.

Side PanelSide Panel details Opens the information panel on the right, which displays:

  • Events for 24 hours A list of system events over the last 24 hours, indicating the time of errors, reboots, and shutdowns. The «Pin» button fixes the panel on the screen. The absence of events indicates stable device operation.
  • System Information:
    • Miner Model (e.g., Antminer S21)
    • Stock Hashrate
    • Firmware Version
    • Build Name, Build Date, Build UUID
    • Controller Platform and Installation Type
    • PSU Model and Serial Number
    • Device Serial Number
  • Network Status:
    • Hostname: Device name on the network
    • Mode: DHCP or Static IP
    • IP Address: Current local address
    • Mask: Subnet
    • Gateway: Primary router
    • DNS: Used DNS server
    • MAC Address: Unique network identifier
  • Memory (RAM): Controller RAM status. Load percentage, total volume, and actual consumption.

Power Management menuPower Management options Opens the miner operation control menu:

  • Throttling Mode: Allows limiting the device's power. Clicking opens a settings panel with a power level slider (range 20–100%, default 100%). It proportionally reduces the frequencies of all chips, decreasing power consumption. The «Reset» button returns the value to 100%. To apply changes, click «Apply», to cancel, click «Cancel».   • Pause: Stops mining without rebooting the device.
  • Restart Mining: Restarts only the mining process. Applied when changing Pool settings, Advanced section settings, and other parameters that require a restart.
  • Reboot Device: A complete device restart: the controller reboots, drivers are reset, and RAM is cleared. Recommended for unstable operation or after updates.

Web Interface Lock icon Switches the interface to read-only mode. All editable fields and control buttons become inactive. Clicking the lock icon opens a confirmation window with a warning that device settings and parameters will be unavailable for editing. Click «Lock» to confirm. ⚠️If an incorrect password is entered 5 times in a row, access is blocked for 30 seconds. After the time expires, you can try again.

Status Bar

Status Bar Located at the bottom of the web interface, it displays key technical information about the device's real-time status. Elements are listed from left to right:

  • Find Miner: An icon on the left side of the bar. Clicking it makes the LED indicator on the device's Control Board blink. Used for physical identification of the miner in a rack.
  • Operation Status: Current device state and power level. The power level corresponds to the throttling setting: Mining: 100% means full power operation. Possible states: Mining, Stopped, Initializing, Auto-tuning.
  • Uptime: Continuous operation time without rebooting, e.g., 0d 17h 20m.
  • Device Model: E.g., Antminer S21. If the model cannot be determined, Unknown is displayed. Clicking opens the side panel with system information and network status (see section Side Panel).
  • Controller Platform: Type of the miner's Control Board. Possible values:
    • xil: Xilinx-based controller;
    • aml: Amlogic-based controller.
  • Firmware Version: Build name, e.g., Demo version. Clicking opens the What's New? window with information about the current release. If the release data server is unavailable, the message "No release data" is displayed. What's New dialog
  • Boot Source Icon: The far-right element of the bar. Clicking it displays a tooltip with information about the Firmware boot source: Firmware booted from NAND.

Log Panel

The Log Panel is located at the bottom of the web interface and is displayed over the main content. It contains the device's real-time system event log. It is used for diagnostics and transmitting information to technical support. Log Panel

Log Categories:

  • Status: General events: start, stop, restarts, temperature events, high-level errors.
  • Miner: Detailed information: number of detected Hashboards and chips, frequencies, voltages, overheating warnings, cooling mode changes, chip error details.
  • HWscan: Hardware initialization information: Hashboard EEPROM data, PSU initialization, basic device parameters.
  • Auto-tuning: Log of the chip parameter auto-selection process. Primarily used by developers to analyze Firmware behavior.
  • System: Linux system event output.

Control Buttons

Log Panel control buttons In the upper right corner of the Log Panel, there are five control elements, from left to right:

  • Copy: Copies the current logs to the clipboard.
  • Diagnostic Report: Creates an archive with technical information about the device for submission to support. For more details on creating a report and contacting support, see the Technical Support section.
  • Clear Logs: Opens a window with checkboxes by categories:
    • Status;
    • Miner;
    • Auto-tuning. You can select individual categories or use the «Select All» option. After confirmation, the selected logs are deleted. Clear Logs dialog
  • Collapse / Expand: Toggles the panel height.
  • Close: Hides the Log Panel.

Board Identification

Vnish by Hashcore releases specialized builds for each architecture. An error in selecting the board type can lead to installation failure or incorrect device operation.
